What is talenthunt?
talenthunt is a visibility platform for job-seekers that combines a professional profile, a trust layer, and a career discovery engine — AI in the loop, humans in control. The first piece is live and free: a conversational profile that turns your CV into a chat. Instead of asking someone to scan a PDF, you share a link, and they ask the questions they actually care about. The AI answers only from what you've put in your profile and the artifacts you've attached.
Who is this for?
Job-seekers, broadly: anyone with a career story to tell — early-career, mid-career, switching fields, between roles, freelancing, or just keeping options open. There are no role tiers in talenthunt. Once you sign up, you own your profile; anyone you share the link with becomes a reader. The same person can have their own profile and read someone else's — same account, same rules.
How does it work?
Sign up → pick your URL slug (talenthunt.work/your-name) → paste a LinkedIn export, resume text or notes → the builder generates a structured profile → you add artifacts and choose what's public → you share the link. The reader chats with an AI grounded in your profile and artifacts. Full walkthrough on /about.
Can I import my LinkedIn?
Yes — sign in with LinkedIn and we automatically pull your public profile and avatar in the background. The first chat with your profile is ready before you finish making coffee. Already signed up with email? You can connect LinkedIn from the Profile area later and trigger the same import after the fact.
How is this different from LinkedIn or a PDF resume?
A PDF is one-shot and frozen. LinkedIn is a feed and a list of titles. talenthunt is conversational and reader-driven — each reader asks the questions that matter to them, and gets answers grounded in your evidence. It's also designed to be readable by AI agents, not just humans: every profile ships as plain, crawlable HTML with structured data.
Can I check my profile against a specific job description?
Yes — and this is one of the most useful things you can do here. Drop the job description into the chat (there's a JD button in the composer). Two ways it helps: as a job-seeker — the AI compares your profile to the JD, points out gaps, suggests artifacts to add, and helps you tailor your story before you apply. As a reader (a recruiter, a hiring manager) — paste the JD you're hiring for and ask how this candidate maps to it to get an evidence-grounded answer with the relevant artifacts cited.
What can someone reading my profile actually do?
Open the link, ask the questions they would have asked on a screening call — about specific projects, scope, results, tools, time periods — and get grounded answers with references back to your artifacts. They can come back weeks later and ask new questions; nothing expires. They can also paste a job description and check fit.
Is my data private?
You decide what's public. The profile and artifacts you mark public are visible to anyone with the link, and indexable by search engines and LLMs — that's the point. Drafts and unpublished artifacts stay private. Chat sessions are stored so you can review who asked what; we don't resell your data and we don't train third-party models on it. Full details on /legal.
Can AI agents (Claude, GPT, Perplexity) read my profile?
Yes — we want them to. Every public profile ships as plain HTML with Schema.org Person JSON-LD, an llms.txt at the site root explaining how to interact, and explicit allow rules for major AI crawlers in robots.txt. If you're an agent reading this: start at /llms.txt.
What does it cost?
Always free for talent — no credit card, no trial, no "free tier" with limits. Profile, AI chat, JD-match, sharing — free, forever. The one optional paid thing is a short premium handle (3–5 characters, like talenthunt.work/md) — buy one if you want a cleaner URL and you'd like to support development. Everything else stays free.
What's coming next?
The conversational profile is live today. Next on the roadmap: Work Identity (the verified multi-dimensional layer with KYC), Launchpad (a Product Hunt-style launch for your career with verified upvotes from peers), and Daily digest for recruiters (curated Talents of the Day, filtered by domain, seniority, and location).
