Analytics Engineer (Mid-Senior)
CoinGate · Vilniaus, Lithuania
About CoinGate
CoinGate is a Lithuanian fintech company founded in 2014 and one of Europe's leading cryptocurrency payment gateways. We help thousands of businesses worldwide accept 70+ cryptocurrencies with settlements in EUR or crypto - simple integrations, transparent pricing, and full regulatory compliance under MiCA.
About the role
We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to own the modelling layer of our data warehouse. Our dbt project on BigQuery is already in production and serves as the system of record for billing, verification, and regulatory reporting. You’ll join our Data team and build the data models that Compliance, Finance, Product, and Growth rely on every day.
What you'll do
- Build and own dbt models from staging through reporting
- Model new product and payment flows before launch, so reporting exists day one
- Write dbt tests, quality checks, and alerts that catch a broken metric before a stakeholder does
- Define and own core business metrics
- Power regulatory and financial reporting from models, not manual pulls
- Shape our project standards: macros, incremental models, naming, PR review
What we expect
- Proven experience in Analytics Engineering or a similar role
- Strong SQL - clear, maintainable queries over complex, nested data
- Hands-on dbt on a cloud warehouse in production (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift): refs and sources, incremental models, macros, testing
- Solid dimensional modelling: facts, dimensions, grain, slowly changing dimensions
- Git-based workflow: branches, pull requests, code review
- You can turn a vague business question into a concrete model and metric
- Professional English, written and spoken
Nice to have
- Fintech, crypto, payments, or another regulated environment (AML/KYC especially)
- You've set modelling standards before, not only followed them
- Orchestration tooling: Cloud Composer, Airflow, or similar
- Python for small automations and reporting jobs
- Looker Studio or a comparable BI tool
- You already work with AI tools in your editor
What we offer
- A warehouse that is already built properly: tests, CI, documented models, so your work compounds instead of firefighting
- A modern office in the heart of Vilnius
- Flexible hours and remote work options to support work-life balance
- Coffee, snacks, and benefits including health insurance and employee perks
- Competitive salary and opportunities for career growth
- Engaging team-building activities, occasional workations in Lithuania and abroad
- A collaborative, positive environment that encourages ownership and continuous improvement
If you’re excited about the prospect of shaping the future of cryptocurrency payments and thriving in a dynamic, innovative environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Salary:
3500 - 5500 €/monthly gross.
We are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and experience.
